525,600 minutes ~ how do you measure a year?

Almost a year later and here we are. I have been thinking that I need to start blogging again, as we just recently found out that our friend Jim is getting deployed again. I started this originally as something he can read to keep up with things at home while he was in Djibouti, Africa. With news of his deployment again, my thoughts came back to my blog. Finally made it here and its been almost a year since I last blogged. Alot has happened... here is the run down.

Chris and I got married May 15, 2010. Trenton walked me down the aisle and 'gave me away' to the man of my dreams. It was a beautiful wedding with our family and friends. We got married in my parent's church (my church) ... a place where I grew up, was baptized, confirmed and now married in.... what a special place. The reception was so much fun and just full of memories and dancing the night away. Chris and I stayed home with the boys for a few days and then spent a week honeymooning in St Marteen... beautiful, simple, amazing way of life. Fantastic food, great rum drinks and very friendly people.... highly recommend it and we will be going back!

After things settled down from that a bit, we started looking at houses... and ended up finding out dream home. With painting from top to bottom, we moved in Oct 9th and are finally getting to the point of enjoying our new home.

The boys... well now, Ryan at 9 1/2 and Trenton at 14 1/2 are the lights of our lives. They are amazing and are such good kids. We are very lucky. Both boys ended their first 9 weeks this school year with their best report cards EVER!!! We are so proud.... We hope that the rest of Ryan's 4th grade year and the rest of Trenton's freshman year continue to go as well as they have started. Trenton has adjusted to high school without missing a beat. He is in NO special ed classes or even a CA class... he is doing really well and holding his own with his classes and grades. So proud... did I mention that?

Work is crazy busy for me right now... and it seems to be for Chris too.. when its busy for both of us it makes it hard.. but we get through it.

Right now we are in Disney with mom and dad and enjoying a family vacation. Sea World was today and a good time.. one of Trenton's favorite childhood memories and Ryan's first trip to Sea World Orlando.... tomorrow is Thanksgiving and then Friday will be Magic Kingdom day... Ryan is excited to see the castle and wants to know how big it is..? We can see the fireworks from our screened in porch which is nice... :-)

Enough for now.. just need to get back into the habit of blogging... can't believe I went a whole year (minus 6 days) without blogging... more to come.
